| Fellas, if any of you had any doubt of the progress we've made in the past 3 years, then simply check your emails. There are 3 events which occurred in the last 48 hours that confirmed just how far along we've come. As you all know, within a capitalistic system, competition breeds choices and the more choices you have the better of you are as a consumer because prices tend to be lower and product quality tends to be higher as well. With that in mind, we've launched Omega Entertainment 3 years ago to offer you more choices of where to party on Memorial weekend. That did not seat too well with the established entertainment monopoly at the time. So they've set out to destroy us from the ouset. They went around the country and warned every promoter and media organizations within our community not to work with us under threats of losing their partnership, and just like sheep, they've all acquiesced in fear of losing their free passes to south Florida. So now you know why there isn't too many promotional partners listed on our website and you also know why despite being attended by thousands and thousands of you, very few media organizations within our community cover our events. This is just one in a long list of despicable tactics employed by the giant entertainment monopoly to shut us down in an effort to preserve their privilege to charge you your arm, your leg, and any other body parts you're willing to spare just so you may have some fun on Memorial weekend. And in June, they get to laugh all the way to the bank while some of you try to untangle yourselves in bankruptcy courts. Folks, none of their tactics have worked. We've stood virtually alone against the giant. We've withstood everything they could throw at us, including the kitchen sink, and through it all, with your help and yours alone, our program has grown to the phenomenon that it is today. So I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my email this morning and found that you guys had forwarded me an email from the giant entertainment monopoly 31 times, and all followed by either, LOL, SMH, LLS, or the proverbial LMAO. Now remember that was less than 24 hours after we've made the Chocolate City 2012 announcement. In that email, the giant entertainment monopoly offered a 50% discount to the fellas in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area. You can't make this up folks, I don't care how wild your imagination. But wait, there is a caveat attached though, the offer comes with an expiration date, it last only 72 hours, LMAO to that. So needless to say that the fellas in the DMV are heated because they see the offer for exactly what it is, just a patronizing gesture. You fellas from elsewhere should be offended just as well, because, whatever happened to the cardinal rule of business to treat all your customers the same, like kings? Nevertheless that is a victory for you the consumer, for what it's worth this is the first time to my knowledge that the giant entertainment monopoly has ever made such an overture. And that is the very idea of our existence, to force better deals for you the consumer through fair competition. Look for more of that from the giant entertainment monopoly because as long as we're around, these ludicrous prices they charge simply can't be sustained, as you the smartest customers in the world will keep voting with your feet and your dollar. Here at Omega Entertainment, we charge one low fair price not for 1, 2 or 3 days but until we're sold out. And as much as we love our fellas in the DMV, we love you guys elsewhere just the same and we'll never discriminate against you based on where you live or any other factor (wink).
It has also been also pointed to our attention that some folks are piggybacking on the success of our organization to throw parallel events here in the DMV. We hear stories that they're copying and pasting verbiage from our emails, claiming credit for our successes in an attempt to confuse you. On our part that was fully expected, as this kind of things just go with the territory of success. The internet is a wonderful tool but it is also full of predators, conn artists and impostors. It's silly season folks, so if you're getting emails from somebody claiming that they're hosting events up here and they're not us or any reputable promoter from this area, quickly find the delete button, they're after your money. Same thing if you fall on a website making similar claims, quickly click on the X. If they happen to meet you in person and they're selling you this kind of nonsense, run and call 5 0 the first chance you get because most likely, you're about to get robbed. Omega Entertainment is the sole organizer of Chocolate City Pride, the official memorial weekend event in the DMV. Our host hotel is the Marriott Courtyard on 2nd St NE. Omega Entertainment does not authorize anyone to book hotels or sell any items on our behalf. Hotel booking and passes sales are conducted as in previous years, through our websites omegapartydc.com, omegapartydc.net or through our 800 number posted on these sites. Don't be fooled folks, I would hate for any of you to pay your money to an impostor and check in a hotel and you're the only one there or go to an event and it's just you and a couple other folks. Besides if someone is claiming that they can put together a major event up here while they can't even pull off a minor one in their home town that should raise alarms, just call the cops because you're getting conned. So again beware of these parasites.
Finally, the third and most important event that occurred in the last 2 days is that just 24 hours after announcing Chocolate City Pride 2012, our host hotel was already booked 15%. AAAAWWWW, thank you all so much. You guys love us, but as the great Michael Jackson (R.I.P Mike) would say, "we love you more," and boy oh boy, we can't wait to see yall Memorial weekend.
