A Special Mothers Day Gift From Wassup N ATL
| | SEE THE LEGENDARY MELI'SA MORGAN LIVE SUNDAY, MAY 9th (MOTHERS DAY) @ DJANGO'S! | | New York native Meli'sa Morgan started out singing and church and was in two groups: Shades of Love and High Fashion before starting her very successful music career.
In 1986, Meli'sa released her debut album, "Do Me Baby" on Capitol Records. The album charted at #41 on the Billboard 200 and #4 on Billboard's Top R&B\Hip-Hop Albums chart, making it her highest peaking album on the Billboard charts.
The single, "Do Me Baby" (a cover of singer Prince's song) topped the Billboard Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart and making to #46 on the Billboard Hot 100. (It was her first and only appearance on the Billboard Hot 100.)
 Three more singles: "Fools' Paradise" (#24 on Billboard's Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks), "Do You Still Love Me?" (#5 on Billboard's Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks), and "Deeper Love" (#74 on Billboard's Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks) were also very successful.
Meli'sa released her second album, "Good Love" in 1988 (charting at #108 on the Billboard 200) and #11 on Billboard's Top R&B\Hip-Hop Albums. The single, "If You Can Do, I Can Too!" went up to #2 on Billboard's Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart and #27 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music\Club Play chart. Another single, "Here Comes the Night" peaked at #17 on Billboard's Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. Meli'sa also sang a duet with singer Kashif called, "Love Changes." In 1990, Meli'sa released her third album, "The Lady In Me." Even though the album didn't chart, the single, "Can You Give Me What I Want" peaked at #30 on Billboard's Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart.
In 1992, Meli'sa released "Still in Love With You" which peaked at #38 on Billboard's Top R&B\Hip-Hop Albums. Three singles were released: "I'm Gonna Be Your Lover (Tonight)"-(#68 on Billboard's Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks), "Through the Tears" (#18 on Billboard's Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks), and the title song (#9 on Billboard's Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks and #3 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music\Club Play).
After a long break, Meli'sa returned with her 5th album, "I Remember" in 2005. The singles:"Back Together Again" (#46 on Billboard's Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks) and the title song (#86 on Billboard's Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks in 2006) received airplay on urban R&B contemporary radio stations.
