What's In A Name?
After spending a year opening for Jack's Mannequin and Paramore, fun. are bringing their quirky pop gems on the road for a headlining tour. Recently, the band was signed to punk/pop label Fueled By Ramen, and their latest single "Walking The Dog" was featured in an Expedia.com commercial. With opening sets from Steel Train (led by fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff) and The Postelles, this will be one show where the headliner's name says it all.

Nothing is Mightier.
See that above photo? That's The Sword mid-hairwhip, with amps turned up to infinity, using their Gibsons to sonically punch their audience in the collective face. That could be you this Monday, as these Austin-based metal overlords steer their riff-fueled caravan into 9:30 Club. With a little heavy help from Karma to Burn & Mount Carmel, The Sword may very well crush the entire Club into dust.

Newly signed to Capitol Records, the band is also working on a brand new record after a decade of independent releases. Better Than Ezra will get you in that Mardi Gras spirit early when they play at 9:30 Club this week with New Orleanian rabble-rousers Big Sam's Funky Nation.
