"Wassup N ATL Throw the best parties in Atlnata and I love that sexy new dj you got that be running around the club with his shirt off He can get it." Christopher "At first I only seen the subject and I was like "closed" omg. I started to text Tron if he was awake lol. I think that it's good that you addressed it, you know we, in our lifestyle have to stop "talking" so much and questioning things. To me, it was weird because people was bringing it to me, "Ty, did you know that Vita closed, did you know that they aren't partying at tongue and groove" I personally, thought it was very high school, childish gossiping. Stuff happens all the time with businesses. I thought that it was good that you addressed it because its something that is constantly being talked about. I don't understand why its such a big thing to talk about. Your a promotions company, your gonna choose what's best for you, the company, business wise, and for the customers. So, bravo on addressing it. I think maybe now they understand WassupNAtl is a promotion company, not a club owner." unknown "Thanks for explaining all that man." dwatl :hey Mario; Sorry to hear of the closing, but cant wait to you re-open . I really enjoy the information that you be sending me, sorry that I wont be receiving any for awhile. We have talked several times on the phone. I ,am MIke Solomon from Durham,nc. Maybe one day we will meet, but keep up the good work, you are doing a wonderful job. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do, just to get things done, some people may not understand, but there are a lot of people like me that do. I am a wrier, so I know how things may get, my second book was released on Dec. 2010 (WHY THEY DONT LIKE ME), Check it out once you get the chance. You can get it at amazon.com I do hope to hear from you soon." Sincerely Mike "Mario, You know I love you big bro. This is a good look. I will speak to you soon." Deborah "Hi Mario, how are you? you know it almost seven months now that i really want to speak with you, but some times i tell my self i will just let it go, but as i read your email to night i said to my self let me share this with you. I am living in New York, i had been to few of your events, both in Atlanta and DC. But after last year Pride event i tell my self that i will never attend any more of you events, and the reason is, " last year while i was there in Atlanta for Pride weekend, i attend one of your shows, i dont remember the name of the club that we were at, but i was standing in a certain area with two of my friends, i left my friends there and go to the rest room, on my way back to the location where my friends were stilll standing, one of your security stop me and said i could not go there, i ask him why, all he said was you cannot go past this area, i ask him the second time why, and i said to him i have a VIP past so why i cannot go back there, i point out my two friends to him and told him that i was standing there, i just left for the bath room, he put his hand in my chest and push me, and said you cannot cross this area.Well Well Mr Mario the only reason why you never heard about it right there and then,is just because any of my immediate family members did not know i was in Atlanta, so i let the King in me dominate the Kid in me at that moment" I am sure you know what i mean. That thick security guy with thick lips not so nice looking, i think he had braided hair then. So as you closed to get things in the right prospective, i think one of the thing that you can do is talk with your security guys, remind them to treat people with respect. Because after the show was over one of my friends told me that the same security guy almost had a fight with another guy for the same thing. Mario you know who i am, but that is not important , every one needs to be treated with respect." Take care. Andrew "Mario, Why don't Wassup N ATL do parties outside atlanta like in jonesboro, I got a hotel out here thats black owned, gay friendly and I would love to host your events out here." Tim Hello Mr. Harris:
"Let me start by saying it is rate that I read the emails from Wassup N ATL because I have gotten away from frequenting the club scene. For some strange reason, when I saw the email stating that your club was closed, I couldn't help myself and I guess you can sure my curiosity level peaked an interest......LOL.
After reading your email, I wanted to say thank you for being transparent and taking time to being clarity to the Closing of your company. It speaks volumes of your character and the professionalism. I'm sure your patrons can appreciate you taking time to address this concern.
I will end this note by saying I wish you and your staff continued success in representing all people of color and providing the best options in Atlanta night life."
Respectfully, Dwight Mr. Harris, "Thanks for the story. I have been to many of your events and I look forward to attending your next big thing. As a CEO I can tell you ... the key to running, sustaining and winning in business is to work with people who are just as smart or smarter than you and those people live your business philosophy and you trust them. Too much internal competition of any kind will cause a collapse. I wish you the best. BTW, the only way to get better at writing is to write and have your communications edited once your done. I am proud of your accomplishments! Carl "Mario hit me back I have just the club for you and it's downtown next to the marta station" Pete "I respectfully request more House music in your venue mix.
Ron Pullman, enough said.
I was inspired to write to you when I read "You , Me and He"!
Peace be with you, "
Ralph "good job on the explanation" Moe "Hey Mario, I am glad you sent this email clarifying what's happening. You are right business is business. People see the presentation but don't understand what goes behind the scene. Breaking-even in a business is always good but a profit is always better. " unknown
Come to the Westside Migel "The market in Atlanta (e.g. club scene) has been fickle for a lot of years. And I believe a lot of changes that you've made over the years confused people. It got to the point I didn't know what club would be open or closed.
But WassupnAtl will continue to grow. "
Michael "Hello,
I stopped coming to your events because loyal customers get no respect. Many of your staff are rude. They always walk around with sour looks on their face. The DJ on Saturday nights plays old music over and over and over again. I could not go to Vita in one month, but when I would come back and hear the same old music. He did not play any new music. When I asked him if he could play a certain song, he gave me a lot of attitude. I go to a club to have fun, not to put up with attitude from your staff. On one occasion, the bartender act like he was doing me a favor by making my drink when I was paying for the drink.
There are other venues in town I frequent where I don't have to put up with this behavior. This is why I stopped coming to your events. " New79 Mario if your look for a club come join us at Opera Danny :Thank You Mario if u ever need a bartender for one of your clubs please let me know i have bartend at applebees and Tgi Fridays ans some bars back home u can email me are call me 404-397-9630 below is a pic thank you im DRE" "Mario, You can remedy your problem and no I am not a degree or higher education person, I can tell you this, It seems You do what You like and that is nice if all the customers are like You. Take a note from the other clubs that have been here for over 15 years are more. There are many success stories. Instead of bullying people with over the top cover charges, drink priices. Instead of letting money the guide you should just let people Expect 2 Be Entertained! Especially, if you say You are a party. I wish You The Best. Maybe it's time 2 branch out and stop black Gay party and just be a party. You can still have the Special Pride Events. Please check my facebook page for info. PS-I do support WassupNATL by posting on my FB page. I want You 2 succeed.: Jimmy "Man I have been partying in Atlanta for a long time and I am so disappointed with my city. When I first when to Traxx on Marietta street years ago it was 10 dollars to get in and now you see they are closed and you want to get in shit free, everyone that's no body want to be VIP. I don't have a lot of money but when I go out I know shit cost and I have to pay and I am not going to the hood again to get in free and get robbed and beaten to get a free drink. I appreciate partying at Vita in Buckhead where I know that me and my car is Safe. I hope you can servive in Atlanta because I like what you bring to the city." Paul Lewis |
"One of my suggestions is to respect and appreciate people who have come to your events for years. Its not about the money its about appreciation and customer service. I tell people in the business world the key to success is repeat business. You may get me in one time but if I am treated lousy I will not come back. I have seen many bad attitudes by the wassupnat staff. Have a vip list for people you know who have patronize your events. There is no better marketing than word of mouth. It works both ways, if I am treated good I will spread that , If I am treated bad I will spread that." Don't have long lines when there is no one in side that's an old trick. Be different have quick service. I have ton's of ideas but I have been told you don't listen so why bother Ps Jeff, friend of davincii Man Keep doing what your doing and tell the hatters I said Fuck You! B-Low As You know some of the things said were good and some were bad but the truth is the truth and you cant get better with out knowing it. But please keep in mind were a business and business cant run with out capital. If you want it, you will pay for it. Nothing in life is FREE! Please Believe It! One the the thing I remember my grandmother telling me is that "black folks always keep up some shit," They talked about Jesus Christ, he wasn't good enough so why do you think they are not going to talk about you. I have adressed this issue, I heard your concerns and now I am done with it. Lets Get This Party Started! |
