Ever since Lupe Fiasco released his critically acclaimed debut album in 2006, he's remained a major player in the alternative hip-hop scene. Drawing influences from many different genres, the politically-charged rapper even formed the punk rock band Japanese Cartoon. Equipped with a new album, Lasers, Lupe Fiasco will make his way to Merriweather Post Pavilion with an army of supporting talent, from D.C.-bred Wale to British newcomer Tinie Tempah, among others. Now, with the release of their seventh effort, King, the band is back on the road and returns for a hometown show.
