All Over the Place

Responsible for songs like "Walk Like An Egyptian" and "Eternal Flame", The Bangles were one of the top artists of the 1980s. After a decade-long split, the all-girl band reformed in '99 and have continued to tour successfully all over the world. Their latest album is Sweetheart of the Sun, which pays loving tribute to '60s pop rock. Come see them at 9:30 Club this week and hear for yourself why The Bangles are still at the top of their game.

Scene Stealers

Les Savy Fav have continued to make waves in the indie scene with their brand of noise/art rock and outrageous live performances. On the road supporting their latest album, Root For Ruin, they're joined by D.C.-area post-rock pioneers Trans Am (playing their 1999 album Futureworld in its entirety), and experimental New York band The Psychic Paramount. Don't miss a night of eclectic, eccentric personalities when Les Savy Fav arrive at 9:30 Club this Friday.

Family Affair

If you're wondering where all your friends are this Saturday, then you're in the dark; Robert Randolph and the Family Band are coming to town.  Led by Randolph and his insane steel-guitar playing, the Family Band take rock and funk, blend them together with some heavy beats, and create enough awesome jams to last well into the night.  Don't miss out on one of the best parties of the year.  Join the Family at 9:30 Club this Saturday.

Synth-pop in Pink

Inspired by the PJ Harvey album of the same name, Uh Huh Her are constantly refining their mix of indie rock and electro-pop for their growing fanbase. Though they have already put out the Black and Blue EP this year, the duo is getting ready to release their sophomore full-length album, Nocturnes, this month. In conjunction with National Breast Cancer Prevention month, Uh Huh Her is heading out on the first-ever Keep a Breast tour, making their way to 9:30 Club next week. Lose yourself in some pulsating bass and beats and give your eyes and ears a great treat.
