On the Lam and Loving It
The solo musical outlet of Maynard James Keenan (vocalist of Tool and A Perfect Circle, winemaker, and overall Renaissance man), Puscifer is a wonderful voyage through the warped and wild. Their live shows can only be described as some sort of demented cabaret, mixing everything from Hee Haw-style hilarity to eclectic, ambient soundscapes. Out on their "Conditions of My Parole Tour", Puscifer will come alive on the G.W. Lisner Auditorium stage this November. While you should expect the unexpected, one thing is for sure: the mind of Maynard is a terrible thing to miss.

Jason and James take D.C.
Though he got his start as a guitarist and contributing songwriter for southern rock band Drive-By Truckers, Jason Isbell had no trouble building a name of his own alongside his supporting band, the 400 Unit. With the release of his latest album, Here We Rest, Isbell is back on the road and sharing the bill with Austin native James McMurtry. McMurtry (son of Texas-centric novelist Larry McMurtry) is known for his intense live shows and well-crafted, heavily political folk songs. This pairing brings impeccable musicianship and songcraft to 9:30 Club on Friday.

Brazilian band CSS have captured audiences with their fun performances and synth-infused indie pop.
